Game1 Testing Manual¶

Preparation¶
- Players: Ages 11-16, minimum 12 (incl. 2 GK), recommended 20-40 (incl. 4-6 GK)
- Coaches: 1x per 12 players
- Time: 2-3 hours
- Surface: Grass or artificial turf
Equipment¶
- Cones (6x), Discs (8x), Sticks (6x), Balls (2x)
- Game1 Speed Gates (2x, included in Game1 App)
- Game1 App (2x iPhones, 1 MacBook)
- Scale (1x), Stool (1x), Tape measure >10m (1x)
- Pitch: 0.5x per 2 GK
- Bibs: 5x + 5x per 2 GK
- Goals: 2x per 2 GK
Test 01: Physical Measurements and Age¶
- Measures: Date of birth, standing height, seated height, body weight
- Material: Scale, stool, measuring tape
- Used to calculate biological age and projected adult height
Test 02: Linear Sprint 10m & 30m¶
- Protocol: 2 attempts each
- 10m sprint: Front foot on start line, log time at 10m (expected: 1.7-2.5s)
- 30m sprint: Front foot on start line, log time at 30m (expected: 4-6s)
- Minimum 4 min rest between tries
- Material: Cones (6x), Game1 Speed Gates (2x), Tape (>10m)
Test 03: Pro Agility Shuttle 5m-10m-5m¶
- Protocol: 2 attempts
- Start with front foot on start line
- Run 5m, turn, run 10m, turn, run 5m back (expected: 4-6s)
- Log one time after full completion
- Minimum 4 min rest between tries
- Material: Cones (4x), Game1 Speed Gate (1x), Tape (>10m)
Test 04: Agility Test (without ball)¶
- Protocol: 2 attempts
- Start with front foot on start line
- Weaving/slalom course over 13m with direction changes and hurdles
- Log time after full completion (expected: 6.5-10.5s)
- Minimum 4 min rest between tries
Test 05: Dribbling Test (with ball)¶
- Protocol: 2 attempts
- Same course as agility test but with ball
- Start with ball on start line
- Two-footed recommended but not required
- Log time after full completion (expected: 8-14.5s)
- Minimum 4 min rest between tries
- Material (04+05 combined): Cones (4x), Discs (2x), Sticks (6x), Balls (2x), Game1 Speed Gates (2x), Tape (1x)
Test 06: Juggling Test (Figure-Eight)¶
- Protocol: 2 attempts
- Start in middle of two circles (3m diameter each)
- Drop ball from hands, juggle with both feet (L-R-L-R pattern)
- Move around cones in a figure-eight pattern
- Max 45 seconds
- Score: 0-8 points based on highest marker reached
- Material: Cones (6x), Balls (2x), Game1 App (1x), Tape (>10m)
Test 07: 5v5 Games¶
- Protocol: 6+ rounds
- Game plans automated on Game1 App
- Game: 5 min per round, Break: 2-4 min between rounds
- Rules: Ball out = goalie restarts (no corners, no throw-ins), every foul = indirect free kick, after goal = scoring team keeps ball
- Log on App which team Won/Draw after each round
- Teams reshuffled after every round (ensures every player plays with and against everyone)
- Material: Discs (8x), Balls (2x), Bibs (5x + 5x), Goals (2x), Game1 App (1x), Tape (1x)
- Pitch size: 16.5m wide
Test 07 (supplemental): Mental Strength Assessment¶
- Every player fills out on their own phone
- No interruption, no collaborating or exchanging between players
- Ensure privacy
- Dimensions measured: Focus, Resilience, Composure, Decision Making, Adaptability, Confidence
- Overall score (e.g., 72/100)
- Status: In the works (Nik White building it)
