Game1 AI -- College Recruiting Showcase Proposal¶
Concept: Game1-Hosted Showcase with College Coach Access¶
Game1 hosts a standardized showcase event where youth players (ages 13-16) are tested, benchmarked, and profiled. College coaching staffs receive dashboard access to a searchable database of all participants, enabling data-driven recruiting from a single event.
Why This Matters for College Programs¶
- Traditional showcases and ID camps rely on subjective, in-person observation
- Coaches can only watch a fraction of participants in a given weekend
- No standardized data exists to compare players across different events, clubs, or regions
- GPA and academic data are disconnected from athletic performance profiles
Event Format¶
Morning Block (2-3 hours): Standardized Game1 Combine - Physical measurements (height, seated height, weight, DOB for biological age) - Linear sprint (10m + 30m) - Pro agility shuttle (5-10-5) - Agility test (without ball) - Dribbling parkour (with ball) - Figure-eight juggling - 5v5 small-sided games (6+ rounds, teams reshuffled each round) - Mental strength assessment (Focus, Resilience, Composure, Decision Making, Adaptability, Confidence)
Afternoon Block: Coached scrimmages and/or additional sessions (optional, can be tailored to hosting partner)
What College Coaches Receive¶
- Full dashboard access to all tested players
- Sortable database by: position, GPA, projected adult height, probability score (D1/D2/D3), individual test metrics, biological maturity rate, mental strength scores
- Player comparison tool for side-by-side evaluation
- AI map showing player types, potential clusters, and positional recommendations
- Longitudinal tracking if players attend multiple events -- see progression over time
- Player cards with key metrics for quick evaluation
What Players and Families Receive¶
- Individualized performance profile (no comparisons to peers)
- Development pathway showing current and projected probability of reaching D3/D2/D1
- Personalized training plan with AI-recommended focus areas
- Expected adult height and biological maturity context
Scale and Logistics¶
- Target: 200-300 players per event
- Minimum: 12 players per testing group
- Staffing: Game1 manages full on-site operation
- Location: Any standard grass or turf facility with goals
- Equipment: All provided by Game1
Revenue Model Options¶
- Player registration fee ($75-$150 per participant)
- College program subscription for dashboard access across multiple events
- Co-hosted with club partners who nominate players and share in registration revenue
Privacy and Compliance¶
- Assessment-only event with explicit parental consent
- CCPA/GDPR-aligned data handling
- No recruiting commitments or contracting discussions occur on-site
- Players/families control what data is shared with college programs
Branding Options¶
- Game1-branded event with college programs listed as participating evaluators
- Co-branded with a club or regional partner (e.g., Game1 x [Club Name] College Showcase)
- White-label option for large organizations wanting to run under their own brand
Differentiation from Existing Showcases¶
- Every player gets objective, data-backed feedback (not just the ones coaches happened to watch)
- Biological maturity context means late bloomers aren't overlooked
- Coaches can evaluate players they never saw in person through the dashboard
- Standardized data enables cross-event, cross-region player comparison over time
Next Steps¶
- Identify 3-5 college programs for pilot participation
- Select host location and date (Bay Area pilot: target April-May 2026)
- Partner with 2-3 regional clubs for player nominations
- Game1 handles all logistics, technology, and staffing
